Your ACSA is an independent, not-for-profit association, registered under the Alberta Societies Act. Formed in 1988, ACSA is governed by a Board of Directors, representative of our members.

With more than 55,500 active members, ACSA is the largest safety association in the province. Members include employers with a valid WCB-Alberta account within the construction sector (classified with specified industry codes in Table 1) and associate members made up of non-construction companies.

Approximately 6,520 Alberta-based construction companies rely on ACSA for their safety training, professional designations and the Certification of Recognition (COR) and Small Employer Certificate of Recognition (SECOR) achievements. More than 20,000 people have started safety careers with ACSA’s National Construction Safety Officer™ (NCSO™) and Health & Safety Administrator (HSA) designation programs.

Another 9,918 COR and SECOR holders have maintained their health and safety management systems (HSMS), meeting or exceeding provincial standards established by Partnerships in Injury Reduction (PIR).

Your ACSA advances health and safety values in the construction industry. We share our wealth of knowledge and build partnerships that connect a growing health and safety community throughout Alberta.

“The requirements have evolved over the years, which is something that I think is great! It allows companies to evolve their program where they may not have considered to without the COR program.”
