Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) 2020 is ACSA’s flagship eLearning program.
CSTS 2020 is designed as an entry-level orientation program for new or returning workers to the construction industry. It focuses on general construction safety practices and equips students with the knowledge needed to safely accomplish tasks in the construction industry. This general orientation has come to be relied upon by employers to meet the basic standard for safety training, which is then supplemented with job-specific training, as required.
CSTS 2020 Fundamentals is an interactive online course that includes industrial, commercial and residential construction site best practices. Since its launch in September 2019, more than 208,500 people have registered for the Fundamentals course and almost 640,000 have registered for the 19 Add-on Modules. These mobile-friendly courses are provided free of charge — helping ensure that lives are lived safely in Alberta and beyond.
In 2021, ACSA recorded 86,070 CSTS 2020 Fundamentals and 253,901 Add-on Module registrations.
